Dr. Muhammad alZekri alQudai

As an Arab-born individual from Bahrain, Dr. AlZekri spent his formative years in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, where he studied hadith and Hanbali fiqh in nearby mosques under the influence of his father’s Hanbali inclination. However, he eventually pursued higher education abroad, earning a Bachelor’s degree in quantitative methods from California State University, Fullerton, and completing his MPhil and PhD in anthropological studies at the University of Exeter, England.

Dr. AlZekri has taught at Westminster University in London and later at BTU University in Cottbus, Germany and is the founder of Darat Ibn alZekri alAlmaniya LilNashir alMarafi, a book publishing house based in Germany. The publishing house’s mission is to introduce Arab writers to the academic world in Europe and North America, and we are thrilled to be able to bring their unique perspectives and insights to a wider audience. We are also excited for the future of this small but promising business and the contributions we will make to the world of publishing.
